Last month I was able to visit the beautiful Islands of Nassau and Paradise Island in the Bahamas. There are so many amazing activities and experiences available on these islands. From amazing white sand beaches to swimming in turquoise waters, visit local markets, or enjoy some of the freshest seafood right out of the ocean! Planning a fall vacation to the Bahamas is a great way to continue to enjoy the sun of summer so here are 5 reasons why your next vacation should be to Nassau and Paradise Island
Great Food
This is always a good reason to travel… Nassau offers great restaurants located on some of the island's beautiful beach resorts, but If you're looking for something more traditional McKenzie’s Fresh Conch is the place to go. Enjoy a conch salad or fresh fried fish; nothing fills me up more than eating at a local restaurant where you can experience the culture of the place you visit.
The water is always great
There is no bad time to visit the Bahamas. The weather is great year-round and remains relatively consistent. Water temperatures range from the low 80s in the summer to the mid 70s in winter, so the water is always great.
Just a Short Flight
Nassau Island and Paradise Island are just a short flight away from many major US cities. Nassau is one of a few Caribbean destinations providing pre-clearance for US Customs and Immigration services. It’s easy to get here for a quick weekend getaway!
Experience the Cove Atlantis
This is the most luxurious tower of the Atlantis resort, here you can experience an adult only pool and beach club as well as all the other fun Atlantis attractions. At the Cove you can find Sip Sip, a Bar-Bistro with food made with fresh ingredients form local farmers and fishermen. I just have to say I really fell in love with the cove!
Relax
What better way to relax than by being surrounded with powdery white sand, crystal-clear turquoise water, friendly people and great food. If relaxation is your goal Nassau Is the perfect destination.
